AgentCraft: a team of Claude agents coding inside Minecraft

- workers coding at once

Running several coding agents at once usually means a wall of terminal text. AgentCraft turns it into a place: a Minecraft studio where Claude agents sit at their desks and code on your project, walk over when they need you, and wait for you to press Merge.

What it is
A Minecraft mod plus a small program that runs the agents. You type a goal, and the team takes it from there. Open source, MIT. How a goal plays out:
- Plan: the lead agent, Marlow, reads your project, splits the goal into tasks and pins them to a wall.
- Build: up to three workers code at once, each in its own copy of your project. Their monitors stream every file they read and every line they change.
- Questions: when a call is yours, an agent walks to the podium and a bell rings.
- Review: you see the real changes, file by file, with the reviewer's notes, and press Merge.
Close the game and the agents keep working. Open it again and the studio catches up.
Steps
Step 1. Open Claude Code
Open it on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer. You need your own copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.
Step 2. Paste the prompt
Claude installs what AgentCraft needs and starts it with the simulated team first. It looks and plays the same but spends no AI usage, so you can look around before anything touches your code.
Step 3. Give the real team a goal
When you're ready, ask Claude to point AgentCraft at one of your projects. In the game, open the console and type a goal in plain words.
Copy this into Claude Code
Set up AgentCraft from github.com/blendi-remade/agentcraft on this computer. Check which programs it needs for my system and install whatever is missing. Start it with the simulated team first, so no AI usage is spent, and tell me which keys to press in the game to give a goal, answer a question and review a merge. When I say I'm ready, start it on my own project folder, which I'll name, using my Claude Code login for my personal use. If something doesn't install, explain what the problem is and fix it. I'm not a programmer: anything you can do yourself, do it yourself.

Good to know
Safe on real projects
Agents never touch your main copy. A merge happens only when you approve it, and nothing is ever pushed: the agents have no network access to git at all.
Risky commands ask first
Reading and editing inside an agent's own copy is allowed. Anything else, like network access or deleting things, turns into a prompt in the game.
Mix Claude and Codex
Workers can run on Codex too, and every agent's nameplate shows which model it runs.
Shared memory
The lead's plan, decisions and project rules live in an in-game library that every agent reads, and you can read it too.
The honest read
- It's young: the author says it has been used by one person on one machine. It runs through the development client, and a normal mod release is only planned.
- With an API key, the agents bill per token to your Anthropic account. Using your Claude Code login is meant for running it yourself, not for offering it to others.
- You need your own Minecraft: Java Edition, and the first start takes a few minutes while it downloads the game files.
- Tested on Windows and on Apple Silicon Macs. Intel Macs are not tested yet.
