MiroFish: test your product idea on thousands of AI customers before you build

Before you spend months and real money on a product, you want to know if anyone needs it. MiroFish creates thousands of AI people with their own personalities, lets them discuss your idea, and writes a report on what hooked them, what pushed them away, and what they'd change.
What it is
An open-source simulation engine with over 80,000 stars on GitHub. You upload material about your idea (a pitch, a product description, your landing page copy) and describe in plain words what you want to find out. The agents discuss it on two simulated social platforms, then a report agent writes up the results. You can chat with any agent and ask why they reacted that way.
Steps
Step 1. Open Claude Code
Start it on your computer.
Step 2. Paste the prompt
Claude downloads MiroFish, installs what it needs and starts it. Before each install it tells you what it's adding and waits for your OK. If something fails, it tells you what to do.
Step 3. Get two keys
A model key and a Zep Cloud key. Claude tells you where to sign up. You give it the keys and it puts them in the right place.
Step 4. Describe your idea
Tell Claude what the product is, who your customers are and what you want to learn. It turns that into the upload file and the request.
Paste into Claude Code
Install MiroFish from github.com/666ghj/MiroFish on this computer. Use only the checked version, commit 7657031ac01184afe2cb220f5ee3545573b5e843: download exactly that commit into a new folder, not main or any other version. Check its README for what it needs (Node.js 18 or newer, Python 3.11 or 3.12, and uv) and install anything missing for my system. Before each install, tell me in plain words what you'll install and with which command, and wait for my OK. Tell me where to sign up for a model key with an OpenAI-compatible API and a Zep Cloud key, and add them to the config in that folder when I send them. Then start MiroFish and open the interface in my browser. Next, ask me about my product: what it is, who it's for, what it costs. Turn my answers into a file describing the idea and a request: how my customers would react, what they'd like, what would push them away, what they'd change, and whether they'd buy it. Suggest a first run under 40 rounds. If something won't install, explain why and fix it. I'm not a developer: do everything you can yourself.

Good to know
Describe your customers precisely
The agents are built from what you upload. The clearer you are about who your buyer is, the more useful their reactions get.
Start small
The author recommends a first run under 40 rounds. It's faster and costs less.
Talk to individual agents
The real value isn't the summary. It's asking one specific person in the simulation why they wouldn't buy.
The honest read
- This is a simulation, not real customers. The agents think the way the underlying model thinks. It doesn't replace talking to real buyers, but it shows weak spots before launch.
- Every run uses model tokens, so it isn't free to run.
- AGPL-3.0 license: matters if you build a commercial service on top of it.
