8 AI tools for 8 jobs: which one to use for what
- tools for 8 jobs
- 8
- Flow credits a day
- 50
- of the 8 are from Google
- 3
Forty tabs of AI tools, and you still don't know where to take a task. Eight are enough once you know which one does what. Here is the list, one tool per job, and a prompt that puts it all on one page for you.

What it is
Eight services, one for each common job. Nothing to install: they all run in the browser, and each has its own account.
- Claude: writing, code and working through documents. A good place to start any task.
- Perplexity: search where every answer comes with numbered links to its sources.
- Gemini Notebook: answers only from your own files, links and lectures, and turns them into a podcast-style audio overview. It used to be NotebookLM.
- Nano Banana: Google's model that creates images and makes precise photo edits from plain words. It works in Gemini and in Flow.
- Google Flow: video from text on Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni, with sound on Veo 3.1. Without a subscription you get 50 credits a day.
- ElevenLabs: lifelike voiceovers from text and a clone of your own voice.
- Gamma: presentations and documents from plain text, with export to PowerPoint and PDF.
- Suno: a song from a short description or from your own lyrics.
Steps
Step 1. Open Claude Code
Open Claude Code on your computer in any folder.
Step 2. Paste the prompt
Put the task you are working on right now into the prompt. Claude builds you one page with all eight tools sorted by job and tells you which one to start with.
Step 3. Start with one tool
Open the tool it picked and paste in the ready request from its answer. Add the others when you actually need them.
Copy this into Claude Code
Build me one HTML page called My AI stack on this computer and open it in my browser. It lists eight tools sorted by job, each with a link button and one line on what it's for: Claude (claude.com) for writing, code and documents; Perplexity (perplexity.ai) for research with sources; Gemini Notebook (notebook.google) for working with my own files and lectures; Nano Banana (deepmind.google/models/gemini-image) for images and photo edits; Google Flow (flow.google.com) for video from text; ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io) for voiceovers and voice cloning; Gamma (gamma.app) for presentations; Suno (suno.com) for music. Keep the page simple and clean so it works as a bookmark. Then look at my task: [describe your task, for example turn my notes into a client presentation]. Tell me which tool to start with and why, and write a ready request for it that I can just paste in. If something doesn't work, explain what the problem is. I'm not a programmer: anything you can do yourself, do it yourself.

Good to know
One tool per job
Don't keep three similar tools for the same thing. Picked Perplexity for research? Research there. You learn it faster and don't spread your limits thin.
Your own material goes in Notebook
Gemini Notebook answers from what you upload: lectures, PDFs, links. Use it when you want an answer from your material, not from the whole internet.
Check the numbers
Perplexity links its sources in every answer. Before a number goes into a post or a report, open the source and check it.
The honest read
- These are eight different companies and eight accounts. Some let you start without paying, with limits; a subscription gives you more. Prices and limits change, so check their sites.
- Google Flow is 18+ only, and its features depend on your country and plan.
- Claude Code only builds the page and writes the requests here. The images, video, voice and music come from the tools themselves, under their own rules and limits.
